Q1. What is a Title I Distinguished School?

A Title I Distinguished School is a school that has met AYP for four consecutive years in a school where at least 85% or more students receive free or reduced lunch.


Q2. What is AYP?

AYP is one of the cornerstones of the federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB).  It is an annual measure of student participation and achievement of statewide assessments and other academic indicators.


Q3. When will my child be considered tardy?

Students are tardy anytime after 7:45 a.m.  However, if they don't arrive by 11:15, they will be considered absent for that day.


Q4. What time does school begin/end?

School begins at 7:45 a.m. and ends at 2:15 p.m.
